Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics antenna covers or planar radomes are designed to provide protection to exposed terrestrial point-to-point microwave communication antennas.

This protection is critical where the antenna includes a microwave absorbant shield or ring for sidelobe reduction. The planar radome prevents the collection of snow, water, ice and debris within the shield. It also provides additional protection for the antenna feed and reduces the wind load on the tower structure.
